only if people try to use this in the understanding of real life cause in real life there is zero chance anyone would survive a gunshot to the eye let alone the head at point blank range. also if the series had ended in that cliffhanger type ending in S1 , it would be completely half baked and incomplete. I for one didn't wanted to see another Tokko happening again.
also cant be surprised the dub sound stilted. this is an aniplex dub here & like it or not when it comes to any series they decide to issue out an English dub (which in itself is very rarely unless its it have a ridiculous fanbase like the Fate franchise), their completely faithful to the japaneese scripts to the letter.it's not a US born company like funimation or viz where they would tinker with the script a little bit to make the English dub appeasing to the US audience.
hell most of us are just greatful that aniplex even give A/Z an English dub to begin with and didn't give it the sub only treatment like with some of their other licenses.

I agree, AoA dubs are spot on. The only thing i hate about AoA is their ridiculus prices xD. Even UK prices are effected by Aniplex. Luckly here in Europe we still pay way less then you guys.
Btw, I think you can survive a gunshot to the eyeboll. If it doesnt hit the brain it should be fine.

Its like a papercut!
Maybe if you're lucky and there was no fragmenting of the bullet or the pressure of the bullet didn't damage surrounding tissue. I mean, yes you could survive, but that does not mean that you "should be fine". Facial nerve damage, drooping facial muscles, disfigurement and even if bullet doesn't pass through brain you could still have brain trauma. Just saying...

This is... a pretty charitable review. The "power" of that first-cour ending was mostly undone for me with the fact that everyone got shot and no one died other than the one asshole who mostly existed to make Slaine look better.

One of my gag theories was that Inaho was a Cyborg from the beginning, so he just replaced part of his damaged CPU between seasons and continued on his quest to kill John Conner... I mean stop Slaine.

Did anyone actually believe that anyone died in the first ending? The first season made it extremely clear that every main character had night impenetrable plot armor.

I thought there was chance the princess was dead, but not Inaho. Plot armor aside, if he dies there simply isn't anyone to replace his role in the series, and Slaine, despite his improvements in S2, isn't interesting enough to carry the rest of the series on his back. So simply from a writing stand point it would be stupid to kill off Inaho at that point.

If they weren't going to commit to killing anyone off, then maybe they shouldn't have written the last episode of Season 1 so that everyone gets SHOT IN THE HEAD.
I have to agree with the previous commenter... I simply could not watch Season 2 after episode 1 brought everyone back to life. It was too ridiculous.
They could have done a cliffhanger in so many more believable ways. Gunshots to pretty much any other body part; vague "no one could have survived that!" explosion; falling off a cliff into water or something... Just. ANYTHING that could have made me say "well ok, I guess I can buy that."
S2E1 just killed any sense of "high stakes" for any of the main characters. I just couldn't take the show seriously after that. (Yes, it took me that long.)

lmao nice one, my gag theory is that he's actually jeremiah gottwald's (code geass) son, i mean his nickname was orange, surely that cant be a coincidence
personally i enjoyed the second season especially the fact that slane has evolved into a character that his past self would have been disgusted with

If I get this series, I'll get Anime Limited's UK release. They're releasing both seasons in 2 sets, not 4.
They've pulled a Kill la Kill again.
