Ghost-type Pokémon (along with some spooky-in-spirit types) are getting ready for trick-or-treating fun for a new Halloween-themed event.
Japanese Pokémon Centers will soon celebrate the "Halloween Parade 2015" event at their locations.
Customers will be able to pick up several Pokémon Halloween merchandise. Naturally, Pikachu plays his own part in the festivities, as many Pikachu plushes now come in special Pokémon-inspired Halloween costumes. A Golbat-dressed Pikachu is available in both plush and keychain form, while other keychain costumed Pikachus can be seen wearing Mismagius, Duskull and Gengar outfits.
There's even a keychain for a Joltik, dangling on a retractable web. Pikachu's face also adorns special jack o'lanterns in both plush and keychain forms.
Customers can also wear their own "Pokémon costumes". The Halloween Parade is also selling a Drifloon cap and a special Gengar hoodie.
Other products include regular keychains, pins, towels and even a phone case for the iPhone 6. The Halloween Parade is set to begin on September 5.
A special promotional video was recently uploaded, featuring a full list of prepared merchandise and even special bloopers at the end.
Pikachu can also be seen wearing more Pokémon-themed merchandise. Select Japanese stores are participating n the Pikachu Sleeping Bag Collection lottery, where players can win Pikachu plushes that rest snugly in removable sleeping bags. The sleeping bag comes fitted with a removable hoodie.
The lottery list is as follows:
- A Prize: Charizard Sleeping Bag Pikachu
- B Price: Ekans Sleeping Bag Pikachu
- C Prize: Eevee Sleeping Bag Pikachu
- D Prize: Towel
- E Prize: Socks
- F Prize: Hand-sized Pikachu sleeping bag plushes
