Kirimi-chan Mascot is Latest Character Showing Up in Monster Hunter X

Kirimi-chan., Sanrio's salmon fillet mascot-turned-magical girl, in joining the fight in CAPCOM's Monster Hunter X Nintendo 3DS game. The character, like previous campaigns with Ushio & Tora, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Yowamushi Pedal, includes special items and events.
Kirimi-chan joined the fray on New Year's Day and will only appear for a limited time. The character is hosting a special in-game event titled "Sanrio: Save the Fish!" with a character Palico armor set and a Guild Card background and title as rewards. The event will last until February 14.
Monster Hunter X will also start Star Fox, The Legend of Zelda and Metroid campaigns on Tuesday. The Star Fox campaign will offer a Fox Palico, the "Landmaster Skill" for Palico, three titles, and a background. The Legend of Zelda campaign will include an “Item Get” pose for the guild card, five titles, a Zelda Palico, and a background. The Metroid campaign includes a background, a guild card “Beam Shot” pose, five titles, and a Samus Palico.
The collaboration events are available via download at 7-Eleven stores in Japan and will last until February 5.
