Headlining Voice Actors Star in Spider-Man: Homecoming Film's Japanese Dub

Sony Pictures Japan began streaming a clip from its Japanese-dubbed version of the Spider-Man: Homecoming film last Thursday. The video previews Junya Enoki (Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 1: Reunion's Takeru Takaishi, Beautiful Bones -Sakurako's Investigation-'s Shōtarō Tatewaki) as Peter Parker (Spider-Man) and Keiji Fujiwara (Crayon Shin-chan's Hiroshi Nohara, Fullmetal Alchemist's Maes Hughes) as Tony Stark (Iron Man).
The official Twitter account for the film's Japanese release also revealed on Wednesday that prominent voice actors are playing supporting characters in the dub.
The roles include:
- Junichi Suwabe as Schultz (Shocker)
- Yūki Kaji as Abe
- Daisuke Namikawa as Jason
- Tasuku Hatanaka as Flash
- Inori Minase as Betty
- Anju Inami as Cindy
The main cast members of the film's Japanese dub also include:
- Tōru Ohkawa as Toomes (Vulture)
- Takeharu Ōnishi as Happy
- Oolong ta Yoshida as Ned
- Kazumi Makabe as MJ
- Mabuki Andou as Aunt May
The film will open in Japan on August 11. Both the Japanese dub and original English version with Japanese subtitles will be available at theaters in Japan. The film opened in North America on June 28.
