Fate/Grand Order Celebrates 14 Million Downloads with Anime Ad
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
The popular Fate/Grand Order mobile game just got a new animated ad promoting its "Servant Summer Festival" in-game event earlier this month, but the game reached a milestone with 14 million downloads since its launch. Go-to animation studio A-1 Pictures created a new 15-second commercial on Tuesday to commemorate the achievement.
The ad includes the song "Kono Hoshi de, tada Hitotsudake" by SAYA. Fate/Apocrypha character designer Yūkei Yamada directed and storyboarded the ad.
The game will start a campaign on Wednesday that will run until September 5. The campaign includes a week worth of log-in bonuses, extra bonuses, lowered AP costs for servants, and more.
Fate/Grand Order celebrated its third anniversary last month. The event included big announcements including a new stage play and upcoming television anime and film projects. TYPE-MOON's Fate franchise once again dominated Comiket this month. A total of 2,256 circles this summer were Fate related, approximately 200 more compared to winter's event.
