The official website for the Twin Angel franchise revealed a new visual on Thursday for the Twin Angel Break television anime. The site also revealed the show's April 7 premiere.
The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX on April 7 at 10:00 p.m. The series will also premiere on TV Aichi, KBS Kyoto, and Sun TV later that evening, and then will air on BS11 and TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting.
Twin Angel Break will tell the story of new angels. In the story, two third-year middle school girls fight evil as Twin Angels under orders from a hedgehog named Miruku-chan. The girls disagree, but as they work together, little by little they become friendlier with each other.
The cast includes:
- M.A.O as Meguri Amatsuki (Angel Rose, pictured left), an always cheerful, somewhat pushy girl. She is innocent and yearns to be on the side of justice.
- Ai Kayano as Sumire Kisaragi (Angel Sapphire, pictured right), a socially challenged girl. She is aloof to other people after being raised in the strict Kisaragi household.
- Rie Kugimiya as Miruku-chan (top center)
Additionally, Ayaka Suwa will play Veil, and Yukiyo Fujii will play Nui.
Yoshiaki Iwasaki (Love Hina, Kaitō Tenshi Twin Angel: Kyun Kyun Tokimeki Paradise!!, Twin Angel: Twinkle Paradise, The Familiar of Zero) is directing the anime at J.C. Staff. Michiko Itou (Kaitō Tenshi Twin Angel: Kyun Kyun Tokimeki Paradise!!, Twin Angel: Twinkle Paradise, Ro-Kyu-Bu!) is in charge of the series scripts, and Mika Takahashi (Neuro - Supernatural Detective) is designing the characters. Musician Gin (This Art Club Has a Problem!) is composing the music.
"Avenue Project feat. Meguri Amatsuki & Sumire Kisaragi" is performing the opening theme song "Love-tte♥Jewelry♪Angel☆Break!!." Miruku-chan (Rie Kugimiya) is singing the ending theme song "Break Miruku Love!," which ZAQ wrote and composed.
The franchise began with the first Kaitō Tenshi Twin Angel pachislo (slot machine for pachinko parlors) game in 2006. The franchise then spawned a two-part original video anime (OVA) in 2008, followed by a television anime in 2011. A second original video anime project, Kaitō Tenshi Twin Angel: Kyun Kyun Tokimeki Paradise!!, shipped in January 2015. Crunchyroll streamed the television anime series under the title Twin Angel: Twinkle Paradise.
