Ayame's Carefree Journal on Meat-Eating) manga began streaming a teaser video for the film on Wednesday. The video reveals the film's cast.
The film opens in Japan on October 7.

The rest of the cast includes:

- Takato Nagata as Satonaka-sempai

The manga centers on Ayame and Tsubaki, who are researchers at a lab in the biology department of T University. Ayame is a "returnee," someone who lived abroad for a while and then returned to Japan. He does things at his own pace and is a "dinosaur otaku," and Tsubaki is his older colleague who is an enthusiast of studying the skeletons of birds and dinosaurs. The manga follows their slightly strange romantic relationship.
Machi launched the manga in Feel Young in 2013, and Shodensha published the manga's sixth compiled volume last October.
