The January issue of Shogakukan's Shōnen Sunday S magazine announced on Saturday that Masasumi Kakizaki's Tōjūshi Bestialious manga will end in the next issue on December 25.
Kakizaki began the manga as a two-part short in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 2011, then followed it with a "2nd episode" and "3rd episode" in 2013 and 2014, respectively. A new series, simply titled Tōjūshi Bestialious, launched in Shōnen Sunday S in December 2015. The sixth volume of the overall series shipped in April.
The "historical spectacle" manga takes place in ancient Rome and follows men who fight as gladiators.
George Abe and Kakizaki's Rainbow - Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin prison manga was adapted into a television anime series in 2010. Funimation streamed the series on its website. A live-action film adaptation of Kakizaki's Kansen Rettō horror manga debuted in 2009.
