The organizers of Anime Expo announced on Wednesday that the event will host voice actresses Ayako Kawasumi and Rumi Okubo, and producer Yōsuke Shiokawa. The guests will attend the Fate/Grand Order U.S.A. Tour 2019 event booth at the convention.
Aniplex released the Fate/Grand Order smartphone game in Japan in summer 2015. The game received an English release in the United States and Canada in June 2017. The series has spawned numerous animated projects, including an upcoming TV anime adaptation (Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia) and two-part film project (Fate/Grand Order The Movie Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot).
Shiokawa is the producer for the game. Kawasumi voices the iconic character Saber (Altria) in the Fate franchise, including in the game, as well as the character's alter egos (Saber Alter, Mysterious Heroine X). Okubo voices the character Astolfo and Elizabeth Báthory in the game, and also voiced Astolfo in the Fate/Apocrypha anime.
This year's Anime Expo will take place from July 4 to 7 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and the surrounding area.
